Runs from 9/27-12/10/21.

Description

This Language course will be taught by Charles Carman, and will run from January 10th through March 19th 2022. The syllabus will be available here soon.

This course will give students a solid ground in reading, writing, listening, and speaking Koine Greek, using W.H.D. Rouse’s classic, A Greek Boy at Home, pursuing depth over breadth. The pace will allow students to grow firm roots in the fundamentals, whilst enjoying learning Greek like a living language through materials and games designed chances to speak, listen, and write.

Charles Carman (MA, New St. Andrew’s College) is the resident language instructor at The Davenant Institute, and is highly accomplished in multiple ancient languages.

Online only, runs 10 weeks, meeting 1.5 hrs./wk. via Zoom. Students will also be able to participate in class discussion in the Davenant Common Room Discord server. Register to reserve your spot and schedule will be set after a poll of participating students; if the class time does not fit your schedule, you will be eligible for a full refund.
