Announcing our new president, Jady Koch

We are pleased to announce that the Rev. Dr. Jady Koch will be the next president of The Davenant Institute. Jady brings over 25 years of experience in working with Christian non-profits, church leadership, and academic institutions to Davenant. He currently serves as the rector of Holy Trinity Parish (ACNA) in Hillsdale, MI, and as a trustee of Trinity Anglican Seminary in Ambridge, PA. He previously served on the board of the Davenant Institute and has lectured for Davenant Hall.

The Rev. Dr. Koch is a graduate of Washington & Lee University  (B.A., 2000), Trinity Anglican Seminary (M.Div., 2007), and the Humboldt University of Berlin (D.Theol., 2016). In addition to numerous presentations, articles, and book chapters on Reformation theology, Dr. Koch is the author of The Distinction Between Law and Gospel as the Basis and Boundary of Theological Reflectionwhich explores the interrelationship between the doctrine of justification by faith alone and the preaching and teaching ministry of the church.

He has served Anglican congregations in Berlin, Vienna, Kentucky, South Carolina, and now Michigan; and he and his wife, Liza, have seven children (Tucker, John, Carrington, Garland, Davis, Bradford, and George) and a corgi named Abby.

Jady says:
“With countless others, I have been encouraged and equipped by Davenant and look forward to watching the Lord continue to use the wisdom and resources of the past to continue our vision of ‘reintegrating the Word and world.’ It is a great honor and privilege to have been selected as the next president, and I covet your prayers for the months and years ahead.”

Davenant’s Chairman of the Board, Scott Pryor, says:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce that the Rev. Dr. Jady Koch has assumed the office of president of The Davenant Institute. Our founder, W. Bradford Littlejohn, first recruited Jady to the Board, where he has served with distinction and commitment for the past five years. His deep academic formation, combined with many years of faithful ministry as a rector in the Anglican Church in North America, uniquely equips him to lead Davenant in its next chapter.

We are especially grateful that Jady’s vision for Davenant is one of continuity and deepening: to strengthen and extend the Davenant’s longstanding mission of renewing Christian wisdom for the life of the contemporary church. Under his leadership, we are confident that Davenant will continue to serve pastors, scholars, and lay leaders with intellectual rigor, theological depth, and ecclesial fidelity.

We invite you to join us in praying for Jady as he undertakes this responsibility, and we ask you to consider supporting The Davenant Institute with a generous year-end gift, enabling this important work to flourish in the year ahead.

Scott Pryor
Chairman of the Board
The Davenant Institute
