Saying Goodbye to Davenant House

Today, we are announcing the sale of Davenant House, our residential home in South Carolina for the past decade, along with its surrounding properties.

We are always seeking to expand our work and reach even more people with the riches of classical Protestantism through our publications, courses, and events. In-person fellowship remains central to our work, and we are in advanced talks about securing a long-term agreement for hosting our summer residential programs at a new site. We anticipate this being in a more accessible location than Davenant House, closer to a major airport, and with access to a theological library for our guests and students.

While Davenant House has been an immeasurable blessing to our ministry over the past ten years, our leadership came to the decision that Davenant’s mission to retrieve the riches of classical Protestantism would be best served by the sale of our Davenant House properties.

We are full of thankfulness to God for how he has used Davenant House. In particular, we are thankful to those who have lived on-site in order to serve our ministry over the years, specifically Michael and Lynette Hughes, Jonathan McKenzie, Joseph Minich, and Brad and Rachel Littlejohn.

Looking forward, we are full of excitement as we enter this new phase in the life of the Davenant Institute. As ever, we value the prayers and ongoing support of every member of our Army of Friends.
